Youth at ICP
Active, vibrant, exuberant ... these are all words that describe young people ... and youth activites at Immanuel!
We're passionate about giving young people every opportunity to explore their faith for themselves at Immanuel, giving them the tools to make their own decision about God.
Youth Club - Friday nights 7.30 - 9pm, Lower Penarth Community Centre
Youth Club is for 11-16 year olds, and really is a chance to "Escape", meet friends, have fun and enjoy games, chat and just hanging out together. Why not give it a try?
"Rock" - Sun 11.15am, Trinity
During our Family Service, while the adults listen to the talk, the 11-14 year olds meet up to discuss topics and issues relevant to them.
Wednesday Night at Trinity (WNAT) - Wed 7.30pm, Trinity
Every Wednesday (as the name suggests!) at 7.30 our youth meet to talk about their faith, pray and share their lives together. The WNAT ... group has even organised and run the main church service before, so this is a truly integrated, influential group in the Church. We meet at Trinity Methodist Church Conference Rooms (Room 2, side entrance, downstairs).
Extra-curriculars
There are lots of other opportunities that our young people get involved in, including:
- Ignite: A major event bringing together young people from all over South Wales (bi-monthly)
- Hope: An annual extravaganza of community projects, big-tent-events, bands, attractions and other good stuff (run by Ignite).
- Shoulder-to-shoulder: a combined youth event with other teenagers in Penarth (about once a term)
- Sanctuary: a youth-focussed worship event at Penarth Tabernacle
Our Team
Elaine Nixon runs our youth activities, assisted by Jason Excell and a team of volunteers who are all CRB checked.
